What to do in case of an accident:
- If you have been injured in the accident, you should seek medical attention at once.
- Not all injuries manifest themselves immediately and some injuries might not cause you
any pain for several hours or even days.
- Remember to tell your doctor about everything that is causing you pain
because often the treatment and documentation focuses solely on what appears to be the
most serious injury at that time.
- Don't provide any kind of statement to the other party's insurance company, no matter
what they tell you they are not on your side.
- Traffic accidents are very stressful events. Be very careful if you need to get out of
your car while you are still on the highway or in the street. Not all passing vehicles will
be able to see you. Do not get out of your car until it is safe to do so. Once you
have gotten out of your car you will want to obtain identifying information from the
other driver. We have prepared an Accident Investigation Form designed to assist
you in obtaining information that will greatly assist you in recovering from the
other driver for the injuries you have suffered.
